Sugar Cookies

Sugar cookies are just the perfect cookie this time of year!  We love them especially when they're perfectly soft!  We found this recipe and love it and had to share it with you!  I made up a fresh batch so we could leave some out for Santa and I can't stop eating them!

Note: This recipe makes a TON of cookies!  For my family, I usually cut it in half.  Or if I do make it all, I freeze some dough to use another time.

Ingredients:

2 cups softened butter ( I use salted)

6 eggs

2 cups sugar

2 tsp. vanilla

6 tsp. baking powder

7 cups flour (I don't like my cookies dry and usually use about 6 cups, your dough should be a little sticky)

 Instructions:
1.  Mix wet ingredients with sugar then slowly add baking powder and slowly add flour.
2.  Mix well
3.  Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.
4.  Bake for 6-7 minutes at 375 degrees on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.  Don't let them get golden brown.
5.  Let cool and then frost with your favorite frosting! And decorate!

These were so fun to make with my daughter and we let her pick the frosting and sprinkles we used.  They're so sweet and so delicious!

We hope you'll let us know if you try them!

And now we're ready for Santa to come!
